A new real estate school is coming to Charlotte, NC.  McPherson School of Real Estate will be opening in Pineville, a suburb of Charlotte in March, 2009, specializing in smaller class sizes (25 students or less) and more personaized instruction.  The school will offer pre-license classes for those people seeking to get their real estate license, post licensing classes for "Provisional" brokers, and continuing education classes for licensees to meet their annual requirement.  The school director and instructor is Andy McPherson, a 15 year professional Realtor with 8 years experience as as a Broker-in-Charge of an eighty agent office in Charlotte.  Andy will bring lots of experience and informative collateral materials to his classes to make learning easy and fun.  Look for the grand opening in March.

The pre-license class consists of 75 classroom hours of instruction.  This is a rigorous course and students must be willing to study hard and complete all homework assignments.  Enrolling students should have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess basic reading, writing, and mathematic skills prior to enrollment.  Students must score 80% or better on the end of class exam to satisfactorily complete the course.  Students scoring between 70 and 80% will be allowed one opportunity to re-take the exam to achieve a satisfactory score.  A passing score will entitle the student to sit for the state real estate licensing exam and become a "provisional broker."
